Downloads & Calculators — FAQ

Quick answers about our free templates, HMRC forms and web calculators.

Are these calculators HMRC-compliant?

They follow current 2025/26 rules for Income Tax, NI, dividends and VAT (Standard, Cash and Flat Rate Scheme including limited-cost checks). They’re guidance tools, not a filing.

When were the GOV.UK links last checked?

All HMRC/GOV.UK links on this page were reviewed in November 2025. If you spot a broken link, tell us and we’ll fix it promptly.

Can I use the paper forms instead of applying online?

Sometimes. HMRC has retired some paper forms (e.g. VAT652, VAT484) and requires the online service. Where paper is still accepted (e.g. 64-8, some PAYE forms), we link the official PDF.

Which VAT scheme should I choose?

Use our VAT tools: compare Standard, Cash and Flat Rate (with limited-cost rules). Sector-specific FRS rates are included. For edge cases, book a quick call and we’ll confirm the most tax-efficient option.

Are the templates and calculators free?

Yes, they’re free to use. Government or third-party fees may apply when you register or file with HMRC (e.g. VAT registration, Companies House filings).

Do you store any data I enter into the calculators?

No personal data is stored by these page-level tools. If you ask us for a quotation, we’ll only keep the details you choose to submit via our contact form, following our privacy notice.

Can you help me complete a form and file it?

Absolutely. We can review your documents, complete the form and submit it for you. Start with a free consultation or see our pricing for one-off filings.

Can you add a template that’s not listed?

Yes—tell us the HMRC code (e.g. CG34, SA302) or describe the task and we’ll add a verified link or create a client-friendly document version where allowed.
